Something absolute unique is waiting for you! Staying in a former railway station with a tremendous view of the monastery Melk.
It has been turned into a lovely cozy cottage. With high sensitivity the character of the railway station was kept alive. The original ticket counter, the railway station sign, the former food & beverage counter, the old wooden floor are all still existing. The only difference is that trains are not running any more.
The holiday house is located on a hill opposite the world cultural heritage monastery Melk. From the terrace you have a unique view of the monastery. Beside that you will find a small garden where you can lay down and relax. To be able to enjoy all that, it is not possible to drive the last 70 meters to the house by car.
Our holiday house Rudi is an ideal starting point for cyclists as it is located directly at the Danube cycle path. Hikers will find beautiful trails and if you like to make a tour by boat, the landing stage is exactly below the house.
The surrounding offers a large number of beautiful and interesting trips: Melk, Schallaburg, Spitz, Weissenkirchen, Dürnstein, Artstetten, the ruin of Aggstein, the Venus statuette of Willendorf, the old city of Ybbs, the Oskar Kokoschka museum in Pöchlarn, the city of Krems, the monastery of Göttweig, Maria Taferl and a lot more . . .
